强烈建议斑竹完善置顶的有关slackware的安装贴子

特别是那篇图解安装，相信所有新手都是按照它来做的！
最大的问题是lilo安装那步，它推荐用自动安装，可是我想一大半人都会碰到无法装入的情况！当初我就是这一步过不了而搞了好几天，其他的帖子对这个问题也不明确，导致放弃了装slackware去装mandrake，后来又重拾搞了几次才搞定！
应该把它修改成一定要选择expert安装，并输入可引导的linux分区(写详细点)，不要让新人在这里心灰意冷啊，老大！

兄弟有时间的话，能否帮忙翻译一下liloconfig的帮助文件？就是/var/log/setup/text.lilohelp这个文件，里面讲得很详细。

装好了用lilo启动，能不能改为grub？怎么改？

1. download grub from gnu.org and compile/install it.
2. *IMPORTANT* info grub and read carefully Naming Convention section, Installation section, and Configuration section. Make sure you know what you are doing before doing anything

Example:
tar xvz -C /usr/src -f grub-0.94.tar.gz
cd /usr/src
./configure
make
su
checkinstall (or make install)
mkdir /boot/grub
cd /usr/local/share/grub/i386-pc (or your own grub installation path)
cp stage1 stage2 *stage1_5 /boot/grub
vim menu.lst (to create your own boot menu, see Configuration section of grub info for details)
grub
grub>root (hd0,1) - replace 0 and 1 with your own hdd and partition numbers, see Naming Convention section for details.
grub>find /boot/grub/stage1
grub>setup (hd0)

确实是这样，不过我装lilo都是装到/，而不是mbr，装好后dd一个文件到windows分区，
然Windows引导算了，呵呵，不过现在都是用grub了
