Some questions from newbies...

Hello everybody, when i installed the NetBSD, i was amazed by these
quertions, please help me!

1. When i install NetBSD, i found lots of kernel distributions. Just as
"GENERIC", "GENERIC.MP", "GENERIC_PS2TINY". Waht are the differences
between them?

2. When i edit the MBR partition table, i select the patition a menu,
and the options for patition a appeared:

a:    kind:
b:    start:
c:    size:
d:    end:
e:    active:
f:    install:
g:    bootmenu:
h:    default:
i:    Change input units (Sectors/cylinders/MB):
x:    Patiton OK

What does e,f and h means?

3. When i read <<The NetBSD Guide>> chapter3, 3.7 Disklabel, it
suggests me "Changing /tmp to reside on a RAM disk(mfs) for extra speed
may be a good idea". I want to use NetBSD as my desktop solution, so i
want to run fvwm, gimp, mplayer, emacs etc. I have only 256MB SD-RAM,
shall i follow the suggest? Will it occupy a lot of resources?

4. I have a windows patition(filesystem is fat32), i set its mount
point as "/mnt/win", does it deserve of approval?

1.只是针对不同环境的内核而已,选一个适合自己的就可以,反正系统安装完后,编译内核想必是第一个件事.
2.从"kind"里选"NetBSD",下面的则需要根据实际情况,
"active":如果由其他系统引导NetBSD,就NO吧.
"install":这个需要YES.
3.NetBSD默认把/tmp放到内存中(mfs),如果内存较少,当然可以放到磁盘分区上.
