英文版rhel4中读取u盘会出现死机现象的求解。。。

问题：
     
     本来在中文版rhel4下挂载u盘，并读取u盘中的内容是不会出现任何问题的，但近日本人在英文版rhel4下挂载u盘，并准备读取u盘中的内容时出现了问题。
     
      在英文版rhel4下插入u盘后，系统是默认挂载到/media/NO_NAME文件夹下的，挂载这个步骤没发生任何问题，但我#cd /media/NO_NAME时，却卡在那边，光标一直闪，之后就没有反应了，从其他终端中也无法关闭该终端。。。
      在系统自动挂载u盘到系统中的时候在/etc/fstab文件中，会自动产生一条自动挂载的信息，所以我知道问题是出在自动挂载中，英文版系统没有自动加入参数iocharset=utf8的缘故，现在就是说，我该如何把参数加进去。。。

when system automounts the usb, don't enter the fs first, sudo to root and umount the usb driver, then manually mount it by specifying the options you need, after that, try to access the usb and see if you still have the issue. If you are under gnome, try gnome-volume-manager and gnome-volume-properties to configure any auto mount options.
