try to restart scim from console or you can use other ways to input Chinese such as skim and fcitx

please try adding following codes to your /etc/sysconfig/i18n file with root account.

QT_IM_MODULE=xim
XIM_PROGRAM="scim -d"
XMODIFIERS=@im=SCIM

urpmi scim-tables scim-chewing scim-pinyin

如果在一程序上不能按 ctrl + spacebar 调出scim里。可以

右击选择 select input method 选择XIM 再按 ctrl+spacebar 就可以调出 scim了。
