because it is "slack" ware
You can do
grep -i ksmserver /var/adm/packages/* to confirm the file is installed.
frenzy@cactux:~$ grep ksmserver /var/adm/packages/kde*
/var/adm/packages/kdebase-3.1.4-i486-1: opt/kde/bin/ksmserver
/var/adm/packages/kdebase-3.1.4-i486-1: opt/kde/lib/ksmserver.la
/var/adm/packages/kdebase-3.1.4-i486-1: opt/kde/lib/ksmserver.so <--
and if so, check if the directory is in /etc/ld.so.conf
frenzy@cactux:~$ cat /etc/ld.so.conf
/usr/local/lib
/usr/X11R6/lib
/usr/i486-slackware-linux/lib
/opt/kde/lib <--
/usr/lib/qt/lib
If not there, add it in and run ldconfig as root. |
