另外，oss默认支持的音频流好像是8个。如果你希望改动它，请参考相关文档。不过……谁会变态到用到8个以上……汗，听着mp3，看着电影，浏览着网页上的flash，QQ响了，gaim响了，系统警铃响了，这些全加一起，也不过才六个嘛。

多挂几个网游。。。。。再说一个网页上有flash也有背景音乐。。。。

Ubuntu/Debian Specific Notes:
None of the Debian systems will work out of the box until you install the kernel sources and generate a kernel from those sources - the reason is that the kernels shipped with Ubuntu are compiled with GCC 3x and the compiler most people will install is GCC 4 and there is NO way to get kernel modules compiled by GCC4 to work with GCC3 compiled kernels. The kernel sources are also a huge mess since the kernel version and the source version are actually different. The ONLY way to successfully OSS to run on Ubuntu or Debian is: 1) make oldconfig 2) make bzImage 3) make modules 4) make modules_install 5) make install 6) reboot 7) now run oss-install from the directory where you downloaded and unpacked the OSS files.

意思是说 ubuntu/debian默认安装的内核是用gcc4.0编译的，而oss是用gcc3编译的，不能兼容，唯一能使用oss的方法就是用gcc3重新编译内核。
我的系统是ubuntu5.10,没有看到这段就匆匆忙忙安装了，结果用不了。郁闷呀
