There are many subjects such as operating system, compiler, database on software design, computer architecture, algorithm, supporting mathematic on underling logic, chip fabrication technology on hardware design, and cluster, parallel, distributed systems on contemporary domains, are embraced by a general designation "computer science",and has sustained that designation as the basic theories. Wait, also network, and its protocol design. What aspect does this subforum focus on? :ask
No necessary If this subforum facing to application software design or OS analysis, since there already existed plenty of programming and OS faced forums not only in www.linuxsir.cn but also others. So, will you introduced me into compiler design or database design?underling logic deducing? hardware design? or contemporary domains? Um-hmm, so difficult. Each of these topics covered by "computer science" is not easier than OS design.
Please let me know which the primary subject(s) you, the subforum, will taken most care of?  :thank

There does have tooooo small quantities of basic theories forums in china, although some bbs in universities well done on this job in the past, somebody close them. :mad:  I'm not sure about that whether they could be reopened ......
A warm wish here will become a good basic theories study resourse that from my warm heart. And thank you for your significative work.

This topic is about why we should have such a sub-forum. The most important fact is, in my opinion, there are many students in LinuxSir.Org. This sub-forum is the right place for them to discuss anything about theories.

Anything you want. I don't think one can find complete solutions on a forum. Learning by discussing and reading some posts is not realistic either. But through discussing one can find useful ideas. For myself, it's more like a memo
The topics should be a little more advanced than config and beautify a Linux system. And they should be generic enough that you cannot post your interesting ideas/questions elsewhere.
