编译内核后出错？

编译内核后（2.6.10）总是报这样的错误：
VFS: can't to mount root fs on unkown block（0，0）
我的fstab是这样的：

进系统选择title Fedora Core (2.6.10)总是提示
VFS: can't to mount root fs on unkown block（0，0）
这样的错误，可是进2.6.11可以的


网上搜索说是LVM没有编译进去，我又重新加进去编译了一次，还是不行，是怎么回事？

问题已解决，是我没有把initrd的支持编译进去，但是我还是不是很明白initrd的作用

initrd里面包含了一些驱动模块

编译的时候删得太多了就会有很多问题
