困扰几天的问题，请大侠们帮帮忙！

前几天刚刚用vmware 6.0.2安装了Slackware 11，
其中自带的Firefox是1.5的，
现在我想装Firefox3.0，
先后下了firefox-3.0.1.tar和firefox-3.0.1-source.tar.bz2，都安装不了。
1.在解包firefox-3.0.1.tar之后，
  敲入./configure，提示No such file or directory.
   敲入./firefox，弹出Error窗口，说需要升级GTK+库。。
2.在解包firefox-3.0.1-source.tar.bz2之后，
  输入make -f client.mk build，出现错误提示如下：
configure: error: --enable-application=APP was not specified and is required.
*** Fix above errors and then restart with               "make -f client.mk build"
make[1]: *** [configure] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/root/Desktop/mozilla'
make: *** [/root/Desktop/mozilla/Makefile] Error 2

1.slapt -get  --search firefox
2.slapt-get --install firefox
