the problems with slackware 9.1

I installed slackware 9.1 today, but the i810_audio sound driver can not work,
the result of lsmod shows no sign of i810_audio.
So I rebooted the machine, booted into slackware live CD. and copyed the CD's vmlinuz and  directory /lib/modules/2.4.21 onto slackware9.1's hardisk. Also I changed the file /etc/lilo.conf to point to the new kernel image.
So the sound card can work now.
Is there any other way to make i810_audio work?

Also , I can not type chinese, where can I download mlterm ,fcitx?

我的没问题，用alsaconf

alsaconf can not work, although it generate the file /etc/module.conf
I have fixed the problem by adding the sentence
"modprob i810_audio"
to the end of  file: /etc/rc.d/rc.modules

呵呵，原来是不能自动识别声卡的问题。

问题在于alsaconf后还要alsamixer一下.
