大家都是怎样装nvidia显卡的？

我装了内核源代码，下载了NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4496-pkg2.run
然后就装上了。并且改XF86config文件的"driver = nvidia",
可是重启X时，屏幕闪了一下，闪的很厉害，然后就进X了。会不会闪坏显示器？

What I did：
Install NVIDIA graphics card driver
-----------------------------------
Driver version 1.0-4496. After installing the driver, edit XF86Config according to the driver's documentation. Straight-forward.
The following options are also added.
   Option     "NoLogo"  "true"
   Option "RenderAccel" "true" # Experimental
   Option "CursorShadow" "true"
And, importantly, change HorizSync and VertRefresh to appropriate values that matches *my* monitor.
    HorizSync   30 - 70
    VertRefresh 50 - 160

You should read the driver's installation manual carefully.
Also try to set the color depth and modeline in XF86Config.
