为什么 XFree3.3.6 下面美化后只有16号字体显示中文好看，选其它的大小都很难看，怎么办？另一台能用XFree4.1的就没有这样的问题。

其实XFree86的版本越高，支持的驱动也越多，对显示的效果也越好。这是我的理解。。。

如果是3.36只能用16号字体。如果要显示的更好，还得用4.1以上的。但因为显示卡的原因，有时可能太老的显卡，也没有办法被4.1以上的版本所支持。。。

可是，同一台机器上的Win2000和WinXP都很好啊！

XFree4.1就是装不上X-windows

一般来说，XFree86 3.3.6支持更多的老式显卡，而XFree86 4.1及以后版本支持更多的新显卡，而删除了许多对老式显卡的支持。在汉字显示方面，XFree86 4.1及以后版本当然效果会更好。不知你是用什么显卡？
