At Default mode,mandrake9.0 would not install the hdparm RPM in you system...so we should install it by ourself...
Open Mandrake Control Center,and find install software,you can input "hdparm" to find that package...it's only 67Kb...
After you install it ,you can type hdparm at command line...
Now open you disk DMA mode ...
