2.6.7内核编译声卡问题没搞定,大侠支招

今天 编译了两次内核2.6.11.7
还是没搞定声卡驱动
系统是ebian Sarge 由hiweed安装再升级的 KDE gcc3.3.5 笔记本Compaq N600C
能启动系统但是就是找不到声卡
我的声卡是: ESS
Technology ES1988 Allegro-lsnd-maestro3
lspci 为:

其它的都没有选,不知道哪项没有打开呀???
真是郁闷死了,上次编译时也没有成功.
有几个事我不明白.
1>非编译内核启动时显示我有两块可供选择的声卡,用alsaconf配置分别显示是:

2>编译时加入了Input device support

有人说不要选这一项,但我看建议选了就选了.现在有一个现象就是声卡不能用,但进KDE时会有几分钟吱吱的声音,很难听,是不是跟打开这个选项有关???
3>编译的内核太大的问题:
我基本上把很多选项都能直接编进内核了,很少编译成模块,我的/lib/modules/2.5.11.7只有1.3M
按理说make && make modules_install && make install 中的make已经包含了make bzImage是不是???
虽然说我把很多项都编进去了,但是也大的离谱了,有2.4M,这是为什么呢?编译过内核的兄弟也是这种情况吗?有什么系统速度影响吗?我发现自己编译内核系统没有多少速度的提高,只是不想看到开机那么多的东西罢了

在这项里先中了下面一项
Bus options (PCI, PCMCIA, EISA, MCA, ISA)
          PCI device name database
然后编译,用alsaconf检测还是找不到任何声卡
但是声卡还能用
真是奇怪

去下载alsa然后安装就可以了,
