openoffice problem

my os is mandriva 2006, i removed old version of open office, then intalled openoffice 2.0.
the problem is that its icons can't be displayed in application Menu. who could help? thanks!

that is because(i guess) the package have problem like compile and so on .you can make one by yourself

因为openoffice 2.0目前还是测试版，所以没有专门针对MANDRIVA打包，你只需运行/opt/openoffice.org2.0/program/soffice.bin就可以了，如果只需要运行电子表格或其他程序，只要找到这个目录里的相应的脚本文件，运行就可以了。
     不过1.1.5不应该删掉的，因为日常办公用1.1.5比较方便，2.0只是碰到一些无法兼容的情况下才用得到。

the OOo2.0 formal version was published!
but I am still waiting for chinese version.
you can download a formal version, and try again.

去下载安装一个教育版 的Staroffice8（Sun 专门用来给在校生用的）吧，没有使用限期，而且功能跟Ooo2差不多，而且可能更强，昨天安装了一个，只不过安装 过程是乱码（不知何因），安装后界面正常显示 ，效果也不错，自动添加到了主菜单中

Now OpenOffice2.0’s english version can't support chinese good。so you should use the old version and wait the chinese version
