绝对难题：手机U盘在Redhat linux9.0上不能挂载的问题，高手请进

这个问题我自己解决了很久，终于不能解决，特来linuxsir求助。
我是今年大概4月份买的sedY890手机有64M的USB存储，在windows2000上没有问题。在Redhat linux9.0上不能挂载。
我的操作步骤是这样的：
1）把手机接上后，/sbin/fdisk -l sda 什么信息也没有；
2）在/mnt目录下建立一个挂装USB存储器的目录：mkdir  /mnt/usb
3）运行装载设备命令，将USB设备挂装到/mnt/usb目录下：mount  -t  msdos  /dev/sda1  /mnt/usb
报告：mount: /dev/sda1 is not a valid block device

4）运行命令: /bin/dmesg | more

在文本模式下，接上手机会自动跳出一些信息出来，说明系统对这个手机的联接还是有感觉的，不过是认不到。

1、电脑配置：毒龙700，256M内存，20G硬盘，微星（MSI）的主板。Redhat linux9.0 ， kernel 2.4.20-8 ，重新编译过原内核也不行，重新编译内核的配置文件见附件config.txt。
