FastTemplate在PHP5中还能用吗？？

下载的example.phtml文件用firefox或IE打开就是空白页，无法显示木板文件

我下载了FastTemplate目录放在了web根目录，文件包括：

我的系统：
Fedora Core 6.0
Server version: Apache/2.2.3
mysql  Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.22, for redhat-linux-gnu (i686)
根目录：/var/www/html/

已经按照网上说的（增加php4对模板的支持）修改了class.FastTemplate.php3的内容，可是还是无法显示模板,把phtml改成php也没有用
