fc6 安装nvidia显卡驱动求助

fc6是昨天全新安装的，显卡是gf4 mx440se，驱动是9631，安装过程是这样的：
1〉以文本模式登陆，root账户
2〉命令行下  sh ********pkg1.run
3〉安装程序提示没有匹配的内核，是否下载，选择否（当时没有网络连接，以后也不会有）
4〉编译内核，完成后提示是否更新x配置文件，选择是，安装完成。
安装以后，startx可进入gnome，并且可以看到nvidia 的 logo。但屏幕的刷新频率只能在50--57之间，很难看。自带驱动的话可以达到1024*768@85。将/etc/inittab改回原配置后，不能启动图形登录界面，启动界面为图形界面，可看到nvidia 的 logo。到准备登录时就黑屏了。现在只能用startx才能进入gui。可以开启3d桌面，但窗口不正常，标题栏不见了，而且和网上的演示视频不太一样，我也不怎么会用。由于x的配置文件被改乱了，我也不知道该怎么办。希望有人解答一下（论坛里的帖子我看到2005-5的时间段，没找到合适的-----驱动太旧，最高的也就是7xxx，另外配置文件大部分都是针对xfree86的）。

这是我自己改了一次的配置文件，是系统自己把它备份了，原始文件已不见了。其中load "glx"是我自己注释掉的。

你那显卡的驱动我有。但具体步骤我不记得了。因为是两年前，我在旧电脑上安装过。你可以自己看README。应该不会太困难。需要的话留下你的联系方式。。
