1.Kernel Quality Engineer - General

The Quality Engineering team at Red Hat is looking for engineers to search for, analyze, report, track defects and verify bug fixes in the Linux kernel. Responsibilities include developing test scripts for automated testing, executing test cases, debugging software problems, and operating automated test tools.

Job Requirements:

- College degree in a technical field and/or relevant experience.
- Strong skills and background in Linux.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, analytical skills.
- Basic scripting skills.
- Intermediate written and spoken English skills.
- Must be a flexible self-starter who can come up to speed quickly with
  new technologies and can adapt to a growing and evolving team.
- Strong passion and desire for testing and examining how things work
  internally.

2.Quality Engineer - Desktop

Desktop QE is looking for software tester of Linux desktop application.
The candidate should have some software testing experience. The software to be tested is widely varied and covers many different use cases.  Many use cases involve hardware, so the candidate that is familiar with desktop computer hardware is preferred.  It is would also be nice to have someone familiar with automated testing. In addition to working with some of the latest open-source software and technology, the role will offer experience with 3D-capable graphics drivers, excellent Python tools, and some very nice color management tools.

Job Requirements

-Ability to learn quickly
-Good at problem solving
-Basic programming skills
-Python knowledge preferred
-Technical strength in at least one desktop releated technical domain -Test planning experience -Effective defect reporting
-2 years professional software QA experience or equivalent helpdesk/support experience -Linux desktop application experience preferred -Familiarity with desktop related hardware preferred -Communicative knowledge of English, both written and spoken
